What AutoBid is built for

Trimble AutoBid is takeoff and estimating software used on mechanical and similar trade desks. Quantities live there. The estimate lives there. That is a scope fact. It is not a review of AutoBid’s screens, and it is not a list of things AutoBid does badly. We do not publish a defect list we cannot cite.

Trimble Estimation MEP is the current Trimble MEP estimating product. If that is the name on a renewal or a search result, it is still the Trimble MEP estimating aisle. If your question is only “where do quantities and the estimate live,” AutoBid is a real answer to that question. So is ArosBid. ArosBid includes takeoff and estimate and replaces Trimble AutoBid. The bid after the quantities exist

A takeoff that is five percent light is checkable. A mandatory site visit buried in Division 01 is not a measurement error. A vendor cover total that does not match its own itemization is not a measurement error. An addendum that reached the folder and not the person doing pricing is not a measurement error. Those are reading and coordination problems, and they sit after quantities exist.

That is the part of the desk AutoBid is not sold as. ArosBid runs it in the same workspace that holds takeoff and estimate, so the seam between “the number” and “the bid” is not a person copying values under a close clock.

Field notes on this site stay specific. The line that disqualifies the bid is eligibility in the front end. The total is not the sum is arithmetic on a vendor quote. Missed addenda is the inbound log for the trade. None of those essays invent an AutoBid bug. They describe the work that still has to happen after quantities are on the sheet.

Money, instance, send authority

Every extension, sum, reconciliation, and allowance in ArosBid uses deterministic integer-cent code. No language model prices the job. The model’s job, where it has one, is reading: finding the table in a vendor PDF, locating the clause in the front end, matching an addendum to what was already priced. The instant numbers are extracted, they are handed to code.

Each customer gets an isolated instance: own database, own document store, own subdomain, Microsoft Entra ID. Customer bid data is not used to train public models. During training, nothing leaves without a recorded human approval. The mail connector will not release a send that does not cite that decision. It learns the pattern you already signed off, then automates it. L5 Autonomous is next. The approval gate does not move.

What this page will not invent
